Marriage is the most intimate and committed kind of relationship that we humanly experience. The Bible uses betrothal and marriage as a model for us to understand Jesus Christ’s relationship with Israel and the Church of God. Seeing that the Church of God is considered to be the betrothed bride of Christ, how does this understanding affect our lives?

A sense of belonging is important as we work to fit in with an organization or on our job. However, we also know we must be careful with whom we align ourselves.  In this Sermonette we will consider scriptures and examples that can assist as we contend with life, work, school, and family challenges and not compromise our primary relationship with God.

Christians are to glorify God. How does this work? How are we doing in bringing glory to God? 

A follow-up to the message “Keep Going” given on April 18, 2026. What are our initial reactions when we are faced with trials? Is there a purpose behind them? Focusing on Paul, how did he react to his many trials and what was his motivation? How can we relate?

Even when we find ourselves in unexpected circumstances, and our patience and strength are tested, how do we keep going when things seem hopeless? Here is a true story of my family’s trip to Germany and the absolute chaos we faced at the airports along the way.

God has promised us His protection, and many biblical examples demonstrate God’s mighty intervention. But does God still perform miracles today? Does He still intervene in our lives in unexpected and unfathomable ways? Do we truly believe in His miraculous power—just as David and Daniel did, for instance? And how, exactly, does God deliver us from time to time?

The third commandment is usually assumed to forbid using God’s name in a frivolous or vain manner. This is true, however, since we are a part of God’s family, we need to be careful that we do not profane God’s holy name by our actions. We are to be an example to others by our obedience to God and fully respect His name that we bear.

The message discusses five points in regards to what sin is and  how it can affect our relationship with God. It also emphasizes the importance of overcoming sin.  

Do you know the story of the first Exodus for the Israelites? As monumental as it was, it is prophesied to fade into history! Prophecy reveals that a remnant of the modern Houses of Israel and Judah will be taken captive and then miraculously saved by Jesus Christ at His return!

The Feast of Unleavened Bread gives us the opportunity to examine ourselves to discover the sin that might hide in the corners of our lives. When we find those sins we remove them, just as we remove any leavening that we discover by surprise during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This process of removing sin from our lives is a prerequisite for us as we give our offerings to God.
