This is especially true in cases where people have been ill or facing other problems for a long time, yet—despite initial prayers—no healing or change has occurred. Some people slowly but surely resign themselves to their condition and circumstances; they come to believe that this is their fate and that God simply will not heal them or alter their situation in this day and age. This dangerous misconception can deprive us of God’s blessings.

When Michelangelo sculpted David, he could already see the finished masterpiece in his mind’s eye, even though he still had only a rough block of marble before him. And in exactly the same way,
God already sees us today in the perfection we will attain if we remain faithful to His path until the end. He sees us just as a loving father sees his children, and we can and must make His perspective our own.
Laodicea 2.0
Christ’s message to the seven churches is of timeless significance. It is particularly important to recognise that the church at Laodicea mirrors the final era of the church—the era in which Christ will return and in which we live today. From this, we can see where we need to examine ourselves. For it is up to us to ensure that Christ does not have to knock at our door to gain entry.

God created everyone with a unique spirit and personality. This means that everyone has their own personal system of values according to their own individual character. What matters to one person may be trivial to another. From the foundation of values, we all make decisions and choose what to do in our lives, which bears fruit that reflects our character. Therefore, it is important for us to carefully inspect our own values to ensure that they express a love for the Truth of God.
Fruit of the Spirit-Peace
Peace is a subject mentioned over two hundred times in the Bible. God’s Son is even named the “Prince of Peace” in Isaiah 9:6. God gives us instructions on how to achieve peace, and the practices we should avoid that will prevent us from achieving peace.
